Please share with your students: Upcoming Career workshops

The Careers team provide free workshops for students on Finding Work, Interview Skills, and Applying for Work (Resume, Cover Letter and Selection Criteria) throughout the year.
Please assist us in promoting these workshops to your students via your websites, social media, vUWS, noticeboards, calendars, newsletters, tutorials and lectures.

Workshops are currently offered on the Parramatta City, Parramatta South, Liverpool City, Kingswood, Bankstown, Campbelltown and Hawkesbury campuses.
Students can register for these workshops by logging on to CareerHub https://careerhub.westernsydney.edu.au using their Student ID (username) and their WesternAccount (vUWS) password.

The public sector and other organisations, use selection criteria to determine who gets a job interview. This workshop will give you the skills and knowledge to create a solid selection criteria and maximise your chances of landing an interview.
Kingswood campus

The key to a successful job interview is preparation. This workshop can help you prepare by giving you the skills, knowledge and practical experience needed to perform well in a wide variety of interview types.

Did you know that 92% of recruiters are using LinkedIn daily looking for candidates? In this workshop learn how to create an effective profile that attracts an employer to you. You will also learn how to network using LinkedIn and how to tap into a variety of jobs you may not otherwise find.

Your cover letter and resume are the first documents that will attract the attention of a potential employer. This workshop will help you create and modify your application to give you the best chance of landing that job interview.
