Free Domestic Violence Awareness (DV-Aware) Lifeline training - 18 and 19 October

From: Andrea Earl

Valid from: Wednesday 26 September 2018 to Thursday 27 September 2018

As part of the 2018 Mental Health and Wellbeing Month Activations, the Mental Health and Wellbeing Promotions Team has partnered with Lifeline Macarthur to deliver FREE Domestic Violence - Awareness (DV-Aware) training across Bankstown and Campbelltown campuses.

Training is funded by Lifeline Macarthur and open to five staff per session. The training sessions run for two hours and are delivered as a interactive face-to-face course. DV-Aware aims to equip individuals with the skills to identify forms of domestic abuse, introduces the Cycle of violence and Duluth wheels (power and control, equality and empowerment) and teaches the basics to recognise the signs of domestic violence, respond appropriately and refer the case if necessary, to assist someone experiencing domestic violence.

Participants will receive a certificate upon completion of the session - something to count towards your professional development!

This FREE training session will be held on the following days in October. Please use links to register. Please remember we only have five places per session.
