Applications now open: Vice-Chancellor’s Gender Equality Fund

Applications are now open for the Vice-Chancellor’s Gender Equality Fund for 2019, closing 30 November.

This Fund was established to facilitate gender equality initiatives and promote workplace inclusion at Western Sydney University.

Funding of up to $5,000 is available to support research or projects that would not normally be funded within Divisions, Schools or Institutes.

Applications are open until Friday 30 November to academic and professional staff.

Interested staff are encouraged to read the fund Guidelines to learn more about how to apply. Guidelines and Expression of Interest forms are available online at http://www.westernsydney.edu.au/vcgefund.

This year, the Vice-Chancellor’s Gender Equality Fund supported the following projects:

* Listening to and incorporating the voices of casual academic staff: Building a supportive and sustainable workplace for women academics at WSU;
* Why Western Women are Choosing STEM...or not;
* Exploring ways to elevate women's leadership voices in Higher Education to achieve career longevity and gender parity;
* Academic Career Progression: What Matters?;
* Gender Unlimited Seminar Series; and
* Strategies and Barriers to Best Practice: A review of executive leadership succession planning in the Higher Education Sector and implications for Gender Equality at WSU.
