Research and Innovation presents: 'Progressing My Research Project' - Wednesday 6 February

On Wednesday 6 February, Dr Sebastian Kernbach from the University of St Gallen Switzerland and visiting fellow at Stanford University will be hosting a workshop on 'Progressing My Research Project' (managing complexity, overcoming blocks and getting into action using visual thinking and storytelling).
The workshop will provide you with useful visual tools to create structure, gain clarity and give concrete form to your research project. It teaches the essentials of visual thinking and storytelling to be more creative, motivated, and productive.
This course is a ‘best of’ from the methods taught in courses at Stanford University, at the Swiss Summer School and the African Doctoral Academy. It uses the methods from the two courses 'Research as Design' and 'Creativity in Research Scholars' from Stanford University, which will also be covered soon in a book called “Cultivating Creative Research Practice” published by Cambridge University Press in 2019. This series of programs are ideal for both early and mid-career academics, as well as established researchers whose work is expanding to include new partners.
Space is limited to 20 staff members and there will be a charge of $200 per participant, to cover the cost of the external speaker and event charges. This can be paid using a corporate credit card via OneStop.
