Free accredited Applied Suicide Intervention Support Training - 27 and 28 March

From: Rowena Saheb

Valid from: Tuesday 19 March 2019 to Tuesday 26 March 2019

The Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST) is two-day (15 hour), interactive workshop in suicide first-aid, delivered by registered LivingWorks trainers.

ASIST is considered one of the world’s leading suicide intervention workshops and equips individuals with the skills and knowledge to recognise when someone may be at risk of suicide and to develop and implement an effective suicide safety plan.

The ASIST workshop is divided into five sections; Preparing, Connecting, Understanding, Assisting, and Networking. Participants receive a 20-page workbook, wallet card, stickers and a Certificate of Completion.

Staff attending ASIST have described it as "invaluable", adding that they "feel more confident in supporting peers, students, friends and family".

For more information on ASIST, please visit http://www.livingworks.com.au/programs/asist/

We have received funding for one session ONLY (recommended retail price is normally $250). This is the last training for Autumn session.
