Aligns to WSU Core Capabilities: Communication and influences

This interactive workshop will explore the ‘power of story’ and surface awareness of how our conversations impact culture. We will use this awareness to create stories that engage, persuade, and influence others, and build trust. We will design ways to maintain a story that is developmental and assists us to meet the challenges we face. Leaders that harness the ability to tell a great story increase their capacity to persuade and influence. We can all engage in ‘leadership work’ through the stories we tell.

This workshop will enable you to:
---------------------------------------------
* Explore the development of ‘our’ conversational narrative/story for growth
* Investigate different types of stories that are effective in the workplace through scenario based learning
* Demonstrate the power of story to positively persuade and influence
* Consider the use of reflective practice to build empowering stories
* Develop an ‘Organisational Storyboard’ as a team tool for growth and development
