Free training: Additional Domestic Violence - Awareness (DV - Aware) training

From: Andi Earl

Valid from: Wednesday 17 April 2019 to Sunday 12 May 2019

Due to our partnership with Lifeline Macarthur, we have been able to secure another three DV-Aware training sessions for staff and students. This is an opportunity to undertake FREE Lifeline Training sessions on various campuses.

Places are strictly limited. Training is delivered with the intention of increasing the health and wellbeing of our community and increasing mental health literacy on campus.

Domestic Violence - Awareness (DV - Aware)
===================================
Training is funded by Lifeline Macarthur and open to staff members. DV - Aware is a two-hour interactive course supporting community member to discuss the issue of domestic violence and how they can help make a difference. The course identifies forms of domestic abuse, introduces the 'cycle of violence' and 'Duluth wheels' (power and control, equality and empowerment) and teaches the basics to recognise the signs of domestic violence, respond appropriately and refer the case if necessary.
