The Projects @ Western framework sets out the principles, project life cycle processes and practices under which projects are initiated and managed at Western Sydney University. It also outlines the approved methods, templates, tools and governance. It provides a consistent university-wide framework and terminology for the successful delivery of project outcomes aligned to Western’s strategic objectives.

This course will provide an overview of the purpose and contents of the Projects @ Western framework. Since every project relies on the people, governance and organisation context to be successful, it is an ideal starting point if you are managing or considering undertaking a project at Western.

This short workshop will enable you to:

* Understand the principles, practices, methods and templates within Projects @ Western framework
* Enhance your ability to successfully initiate and deliver projects at Western Sydney University
* Identify the processes and templates applied across the project life cycle including how projects are started and approved
* Understand the roles and responsibilities of project stakeholders including project structures, governance and the PMO
* Understand the types of projects and how the framework is applied for different project tiers, complexities and funding sources
