Free training: Mental Health First Aid Suicide Prevention - Thursday 25 July

From: Andi Earl

Valid from: Wednesday 17 July 2019 to Wednesday 24 July 2019

The four-hour Mental Health First Aid for the Suicidal Person course, created by Mental Health First Aid Australia, equips individuals with skills on how to identify signs for suicide, confidentially support a person in crisis and develops skills and knowledge to safely have a conversation with a suicidal person.

It is a stand-alone course that complements the 12-hour Standard MHFA course, Blended MHFA Courses and the 14-hour Youth MHFA course. Please note that the MHFA for the Suicidal Person Course is not a post intervention course and is not recommended for individuals recently bereaved by suicide.

The course content is based on expert consensus guidelines and includes an information handbook and a digital Certificate of Completion. For more information on MHFA for Suicidal Persons please visit https://mhfa.com.au/courses/public/types/suicide
