This workshop is designed to help you write complex information in a clear and sensible way, without losing accuracy or rigour.

At the end of the workshop you will:

* Have a clear of idea of what makes writing easy to read
* Have a clear idea of the steps to take to make your documents easy to read
* Have tools to make your own writing easier to read
* Have had a lot of practice in making documents clearer
* Have had a chance to clarify some of your own documents
* Know where to go for help in the future.

Objectives:

* How readers actually decide what to read on a page
* How to clean up the look of the document
* How to manage the detail
* How to manage writing for different readers
* How to choose the right words
* How to create a professional and helpful tone
* How to use images
* How to write effective emails at work.

This workshop will be of equal benefit to academic and professional staff.

Refreshments are provided, including light lunch.
