Seeking participants: Osteoarthritis knee pain study

Researchers at NICM Health Research Institute are seeking participants to join a clinical trial investigating the effectiveness and safety of a herbal medicine for the management of osteoarthritis of the knee.

Our study will examine if a herbal formulation composed of Curcuma longa (turmeric), Zingiber officinale (ginger) and Boswellia serrata (Indian frankincense) can reduce knee pain due to osteoarthritis, improve functionality, physical movement and wellbeing.

Recruitment is underway for volunteers to participate in the study. Study locations are at NICM Health Research Institute, Westmead campus, UniClinic at Campbelltown campus or a community centre in Bowral.

Who can join?

* Men and women aged between 40 and 75.

Men and women who:
------------------------------
* have osteoarthritis in at least one knee
* experience mild to moderate knee pain
