Being Secure: Best Practice for using Zoom

As you know, the University uses Zoom to provide video conference services to countless staff and students, which has helped us move to teaching and learning online in a very short period of time, an incredible feat for all.

To help echo the message from the Vice-Chancellor late last week, ITDS is confident with Zoom’s security controls, such as encryption, that are in place to protect our privacy and security. That said, sometimes the weakest link is in our settings and how we use it. As you would have seen, there has been a recent notice from Zoom where it is highly recommend that you update (if you haven’t already) as soon as possible, to ensure you have the latest security controls and functionality.
