Adolescent vounteers wanted for youth nutrition research

From: Stephanie Hannah

Valid from: Monday 13 March 2023 to Friday 24 March 2023

Do you have children between the ages of 10-18?
Do they want to help shape the design of nutrition research and programs for young people?

We are creating a youth nutrition advisory group with a focus on young people’s views about nutrition.

Western Sydney University is working with young people to inform how to include their voices in nutrition research and policy. It is our priority to make sure young people are heard when it comes to how and what they eat.

As a key member of the advisory group, your child will be involved for two start up workshops. We will discuss different questions about what nutrition means to your child and their friends, what are the things that help them eat the foods they want to eat and are good for their health, and what might be some obstacles to accessing these foods. From this, we will also need your child’s help to develop some fun activities to ask other young people about nutrition.

If this is something that you think you child may be interested in participating in, please contact Dr Catharine Fleming catharine.fleming@westernsydney.edu.au or Stephanie Hannah s.hannah@westernsydney.edu.au
