FREE Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST) Lifeline training - October/ November

As part of the 2018 Mental Health and Wellbeing Month Activations, the Mental Health and Wellbeing Promotions Team has partnered with Lifeline Macarthur to deliver FREE Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST) training across Campbelltown and Liverpool campuses.
Training is funded by Lifeline Macarthur and open to staff members who would like to attend. The ASIST session is a two-day (15 hour), interactive workshop in suicide first-aid delivered by registered LivingWorks trainers. ASIST is considered one of the world’s leading suicide intervention workshops and equips individuals with the skills and knowledge to recognise when someone may be at risk of suicide and to develop and implement an effective suicide safety plan. The ASIST session is divided into five sections; Preparing, Connecting, Understanding, Assisting, and Networking with participant receiving a 20-page workbook, wallet card, stickers and a Certificate of Completion (something to count towards your professional development!).
