From: Andi Earl

Valid from: Friday 15 February 2019 to Friday 15 March 2019

Due to our partnership with Lifeline Macarthur, we are able to offer staff and students the opportunity to undertake FREE Lifeline Training sessions on various campuses.

Places are strictly limited. Training is delivered with the intention of increasing the health and wellbeing of our community and increasing mental health literacy on campus.

Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) (two days)
=================================
Training is funded by Lifeline Macarthur and open to staff members. The MHFA course is a two-day (12 hours), face-to-face course created by Mental Health First Aid Australia, designed to equip individuals with the skills to assist someone developing or experiencing a mental health concern.

The Standard MHFA course covers: depression, anxiety, psychosis, substance misuse, trauma and more. The course curriculum is evidence-based and includes a Standard MHFA manual and nationally recognised digital Certificate of Completion. For our community, the 12-hour course will teach staff and students how to provide mental health first aid to peers and colleagues.

Participants will receive a certificate upon completion of the session (something to count towards your professional development).
