Register now: Disability Awareness Training - Thursday 15 August

From: Melinda Blackmore

Valid from: Thursday 25 July 2019 to Tuesday 30 July 2019

Are you supporting staff with a disability? Would you like to know what assistance is available to you and your staff? Do you know what a Reasonable Adjustment Plan is and how to get one for yourself or a team member? Increase your understanding of disability and the barriers to full and equal participation.

Gain knowledge and strategies to support staff with disability effectively. The workshop will be facilitated by the Australian Human Rights Commission in conjunction with OED staff and will be tailored to assist Western Sydney University managers and employees to have a better understanding towards helping support staff with a disability.

The session will help you be informed about support; adjustments; negotiations and plans that can better assist staff members in the workplace.

As a learning and development session, the Office of Equity and Diversity highly recommend that you attend to be able to provide a more inclusive workplace here at Western.

Lunch will be included.
