The world we live in is a world filled with promise but also challenges. Workers in the future will need new sets of skills to compete. The various disruptions (global financial crisis, bush fire, droughts, COVID-19) that recently transpired and the advances in technology are changing how we live, communicate and do business, challenging traditional industries and redefining the employee employer relationship.

Western has considerable expertise in Work and Employment Research and the Education and Work Research Theme invites interested researchers to an internal Themestorm to discuss research capabilities and form collaborations across disciplines around understanding and addressing the work challenges and opportunities faced in the climate of disruption.
