F1000 Research: How to publish

Each year millions of articles are rejected by publications. Even though experiencing rejection in the publishing process is a normal aspect of every researcher’s professional experience. There are ways to ensure your article and other research outputs are of the highest quality for submission, while adhering to the publication's requirements.

This presentation will cover how to make your research article publishable and look at some of the main reasons for articles being rejected at F1000 and provide tips for avoiding rejection. This presentation will look specifically at open research publishing, source data, plagiarism, language issues, research integrity and ethics, and author responses. Additionally, we will provide an introduction to Open Data at F1000.

Presenter: Diksha Awasthi (Business Liaison Manager, Open Research, Taylor & Francis Group)

Bio: Diksha’s role is focused on nurturing partnerships and providing author support within India, South Asia, and Africa region. Apart from being an open research advocate, Diksha is a Fulbright Scholar and worked as a teaching assistant at the University of Utah. She has over 4 years of experience working in the education sector.
