Introduction to Contract Law at WSU – Basic Principles and Best Practices

The Office of General Counsel is offering WSU staff to attend an education seminar on Introduction to Contract Law at WSU – Basic Principles and Best Practices, presented by Meaghan Bowden, Commercial Lawyer.

This is a face-to-face session at the Parramatta South campus on Tuesday 30 April 2024 from 2–3pm.

There are only limited seats available so please register to secure your attendance.

The topics discussed in this seminar include:
- Key elements of a contract: due diligence, essential terms, legal implications.
- Key types of contracts: placement agreements, non-disclosure agreements, service contracts, partnership agreements.
- Key tips for preventing contract loss and court action.

The insights you will acquire once you have attended this seminar include:
- How to conduct a thorough contract review to identify potential risks, ambiguities, or unfavorable terms.
- Best effective contract management practices to proactively prevent contract loss and court action.
- Knowing when to seek legal advice when navigating complex contractual issues.
