Families Week 2024 - Children’s drawing and poetry competition

From: Katie Hayes

Valid from: Wednesday 3 April 2024 to Sunday 28 April 2024

National Families Week is coordinated by Families Australia each year and this year runs from 13-19 May. The aim of National Families Week is to celebrate the vital role that families play in Australian society.

In the lead up to Families Week this year Equity and Diversity have partnered with the Sustainability Education and Partnerships team to deliver a children's drawing and poetry competition around the theme ‘One Planet, One People' focusing on the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and how we can make the world a better place for our families in the future.

ENTRIES ARE NOW OPEN and you can download an entry form from the link below to print or email equityanddiversity@westernsydney.edu.au. We welcome entries from all children and family members of our students, staff and our broader Western community!

Entries close on 28 April and prizes will be awarded for 1st and 2nd place. Some entries may also be selected for use in future resources and communications campaigns (with consent of course!).

Western is committed to supporting our Western families and we have a wide range of supports and resources for parents and/or carers of family members with disability, chronic health concerns or who are elderly.

We encourage you to find out more about the supports available at Western or connect with a Network such as the Engaged Parent Network on Viva Engage.
