Hi all,
The April Microsoft updates will be available to install for all staff from 6pm 13 April. Automatic installation occurs the next time your computer is turned on after 6pm on 18 April. Testing time has been reduced this month to get these updates in before the Exam period.
Installing these updates before 18 April is a good idea as you then control the install time and make sure no meeting, teaching, or presentation is disrupted by an automatic installation.
Teaching Spaces will have the updates applied 13 April.
Updating your system will take around 25 minutes and your computer will need to be restarted.

February Windows and Office Update deployment.
Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office periodically require updates to reduce vulnerability to attack, and to implement bug fixes. The updates are recommended and regularly released by Microsoft to ensure proper operation and protection of workstations.
ITDS Consumer Operations collates, tests, and deploys approved updates to staff workstations across Western Sydney University. The updates are released on a monthly schedule for staff.

Affected Users & Computers
1) All Staff domain joined computers with Windows 10 and Office 365
2) All Teaching Space domain joined computers.
Changes Occurring
1) Consumer operations are deploying important Windows updates for all supported Windows 10 operating systems and Office 365.
