From: Supriya Koirala

Valid from: Thursday 18 April 2024 to Friday 19 April 2024

We are very excited to launch the new Records and Archives Management Services (RAMS) Knowledge Directory and request forms in WesternNow.

Records and Archives Management Services (RAMS) has been working with the Office of Strategy, Performance and Risk (SPR) in developing a RAMS Knowledge Directory and WesternNow forms for RAMS to assist with the general enquiries, requests and enhance self-service capability through the range of knowledge articles.

RAMS Knowledge Directory
The RAMS Knowledge Directory includes knowledge articles on:
• Records management requirements.
• Best practices in records management adhering to Records Management policy.
• Guidelines on using CM (TRIM).

These knowledge articles are developed to enable University staff to self-service with information on Records and Management practices. We encourage you to explore the new Knowledge Directory. You can also rate and give your feedback to help improve the knowledge articles by clicking on the Action – Flag Article and leaving your comments.
Handy tips: Every knowledge article has knowledge base number (e.g., KB0019427) You can type the number in the search bar, and it will take you straight to the article.

WesternNow forms for RAMS
There are several request forms digitized in WesternNow to create a more centralised and simplified service experience for staff. Staff can now submit requests to RAMS for the services below via WesternNow.
1. Legal document Cover Sheet
2. New CM (TRIM) folder
3. Access to CM (TRIM)
4. RAMS General Enquiry

The forms are within the Records and Archives Management Services catalog in WesternNow Staff portal.

Submitting your requests in WesternNow will take away the guesswork, i.e., ‘who should I send this to? and which email do I use?’. It also allows you to have visibility over all your requests, enables you to track progress and action items in a centralised location.

We would like to acknowledge RAMS staff and the Office of Strategy, Performance and Risk (SPR), for working collaboratively to make this happen.
