From: Melinda Blackmore

Valid from: Friday 26 April 2024 to Friday 17 May 2024

At Western, we appreciate the diverse tapestry of families that enrich our community. From parents to grandparents, carers, guardians, aunties, uncles, cousins, single parents, blended families and friends who become family – each group contributes uniquely to our social fabric and cultural growth.

To celebrate the invaluable role of Western families this Families Week (13-19 May), there will be some exciting events happening across our campuses to cater to every family member’s interests and passions:

Hawkesbury campus: Dive into the wonders of science and sustainability with "Science for All Ages!" This family-friendly fair will feature captivating experiences such as exploring the galaxy in Western’s portable Planetarium, learning about the conservation through the 1 Million Turtles Project, engaging in forensic investigations aboard our Forensic Science Bus and creating sustainable craft creations to take home. Plus, enjoy free goodies for both kids and adults alike, bring your own picnic dinner or grab a bite from our on-site food vans. Hurry, as spaces are limited!

Campbelltown campus: Get ready for an adventure-packed "Healthy Families Orienteering Event." Register your family to explore our Campbelltown campus through a fun orienteering session in partnership with Southern Highland Orienteering. Win exciting prizes, indulge in a delicious lunch from the onsite food vans, and connect with health and wellbeing experts for valuable insights on keeping your family healthy. Limited spots available!
