Call for abstracts - Global Conference on Migration & Health Equity

Abstract submissions are now open for the Global Conference on Migration and Health Equity (GMHE) to be held from the 16-18 October at the Rydges World Square, Sydney, Australia. We are delighted to welcome your participation in any of the five conference themes:

1. Migrant health during pandemics: Past, present, and future
2. Global health leadership and health equity
3. Migration, cultural capital, and settlement services literacy
4. Sustainable Development Goals and Health Equity, and
5. Migration, international laws, and the rights to health.

The five themes highlight current needs and advances in migration and health equity across the globe. Therefore, we welcome submissions from:
• United Nations agencies and international non-government organisations
• Scholars, academics, students, and interns
• Philanthropic organisations and funding agencies
• Policy advisors and public servants
• Civil societies
• Community advocacy groups
• Health care professionals
• Migration agencies
• Settlement service providers
• Journalists
• Artists, story tellers, and public speakers
• Any other interested professional bodies and/or individuals

Data can either be presented as a research paper; a policy development, implementation, and analysis; innovative practices; guidelines development, implementability, and uptake; lived experiences; or culturally competent systems.

Conference presentations will incorporate traditional and non-traditional formats to include oral presentations, poster presentations, community conversations (Q and A format), community advocacy and lived experiences, art exhibitions, and symposia. This approach will ensure cultural diversity and inclusion and cater for a wide range of stakeholders.

Abstract submissions will remain open until 10 June.
